Wd to the lad.

Manchester City’s FA Youth Cup winning captain, Ben Mee has been called up to England's Under 19 squad ahead of the European Championship Finals tournament, which gets underway on Monday.

Mee flew back early from the Blues southern German training camp yesterday and is set to join up with the England squad today as a replacement for Aston Villa’s Ciaran Clark.

And there the 18-year-old defender will be greeted by his Club team mate Daniel Sturridge with the striker looking to overcome an injury hit end to the season.

The tournament takes place in the Czech Republic and England’s first game is against the hosts at 4.30pm on Monday with coverage of that match and the Championships available on the Eurosport channel.

Noel Blake’s Young Lions also take on Italy and Greece in Group B as they hope to make the final in Jablonec on Saturday July 26.

Apparently he will line up alongside his brothers, Shake and Anywayyouwant.
