If you're not on Facebook you are missing Dzeko say hi to all City fans. So sucked in.

McLaren says he'll take time to settle, learn the about Premier League and pick up experience. Many agree that he is perfect for this league.

I think he will find his feet quickly. I have a feeling. Not the feeling like I had for Samaras and Bojinov, something with credentials, references and actual content. In 4 weeks time we are going to see a player enjoying his work. I cannot wait.

He will be prolific this season. Switch 'time to adapt' with 'honeymoon period'.

He will be a phenomenon.

I like him. Couple of opportunities that were the match not being played on a rubbish tip he'd have better purchase on.

He also likes to win back balls that are lost, tracks back quite a bit, and always looking to play others in.

Unfortunately their goal was scored on his man but you could also argue that zonal corner marking is futile pursuit.

I think he and Tevez are gonna like each other.

I just hope Tevez doesn't getting shunted off to the side for him though. If we can find a way to incorporate the best of both of them and Silva, each playing to their strengths in the positions that will get the best out of each of them, then blimey!

Edin Dzeko has admitted the physicality of the English game has come as a major surprise but he is determined to shine for Manchester City.

The Bosnia-Herzegovina international moved to Eastlands in a big-money deal from Wolfsburg at the start of January.

He arrived with a reputation as a powerful and prolific striker following a successful stint in the Bundesliga, which is often portrayed as one of the most physical leagues in Europe.

Dzeko nevertheless concedes he has been caught out by the sheer strength of the teams he is encountering for City.

"It's very different and harder than the Bundesliga," he said.

"I never played any games like this in Germany, not when you have to fight for 90 minutes.

"But if I want to be successful in England, I have to get used to it."
Barry backing

Dzeko understandably looked as if he was still getting used to his new surroundings in his first couple of games for the club, but opened his City account with an equaliser in the FA Cup draw against Notts County at the weekend.

And team-mate Gareth Barry recognises the significance of the strike, saying Dzeko will now feel much more confident.

"It was an important goal for him," said the England midfielder.

"The longer a striker goes without a goal the more it can affect him.

"Strikers thrive on confidence, so I hope this settles him down and it can be the first of many because Edin can be a big star for Manchester City.

"When you look at his record, his ratio of goals to games is very good.

"If he can keep that going at City, he is going to do very well."

He had a good debut, didn't he get an assist or play a nice pass that led to a goal or something?

After watching the game against the Grees, I've come to the conclusion that Dzeko is a cheating bastard. Constant niggling fouls: trips, pushes, shirt pulls that he is attempting to get away with evidenced by the way he continues playing until the ref blows. He also did a horrible dive to try and win a penner. Would like to see this side of his game beaten out of him

Hmmm, I've read it twice. It swings from sarcastic to not, too freely for my liking. You being serious?
