Mancini must be a genius....he hasnt played him in the holding role all season, yet every game on telly its the same drivel from commentators, oh city are playing 3 holding midfielder, negative this, defensive that.....
Mancini = genius....no-one saw him planning to play him in the free role and it works, he has a beastly turn of pace and can put the ball in the back of the net, he may be a monster, but hes our monster.....

superb work,great post...

He is scoring a lot more goals than I had bargained for. Maybe more than Mancini had bargained for.

The amount of ground he covered for his goal on Saturday was phenomenal. The guy is a beast.

Maybe he just suits them prem..when he's on his game he is unplayable..
I hate to draw this comparison ..That little ginger sack, across the road, for years has been lethal from midfield, without have loads of pace.
yaya has it when he needs it and is also getting the goals from midfield..
We have a really REALLY solid spine to our team now..

One or two people on here think that all will come good when Balotelli is available for selection again, as they think Mancini will play Tevez and Balotelli in a 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 formation.

My question is this...

Given what we've seen of Yaya Toure this season, how could we play with a 4 man midfield that includes Yaya, without either sacrificing defence, creativity or width?

IMO Yaya contributes little or nothing, he doesn't tackle, track back, get forward, pass or shoot on goal.

Just call you Nostradamus

I expect his views on Kolarov to be proven wrong also.

This has been reported before. By all accounts they will give us what we paid.

My biggest worry is Tevez, I can see hime getting totally fucked off and wanting away.

You are a fucking moaner. We're second in the league, did you see the celebration by Tevez after both? He looked just this side of orgasmic.

Why starting worrying about something we can't change if he wants away, which I don't think he does til next season, at earliest and if ever, there aint a cracker we can do about it.

You have totally belittled and misread Yaya Toure's contributions to date. You are looking at a different player that I have been watching.

As for Kolarov, we haven't seen his best yet but I feel we will. Yes there are quicker FB's out there but each plays to their strength, do the others have a thunderball of a left foot that he has (although we are yet to see it, it's coming) or the ability to take players on which he does? Also he corner crosses are better than we've had in an age. He is still finding feet. Without doubt, Kolarov when fit is starting LB.

it's alright ESM, you just slate the underperformers and they will come good.

i have been very impressed with yaya recently. he appears to have remembered how to run, or move with urgency. and shoot.

he'#s still very black though.

You could say he has adjusted to the pace of the league, which understandably took a while as he didn't play a lot last season.
He has been a revelation to me the last couple of months, since the Fulham game I think.

To be fair, that covers most of the team
