If we were paying any of his wages, it would be a loan, not a transfer. I can't see why the club would commit to spending however many million over the next few years when they could just take that amount off the transfer fee and be done with it.

I could be wrong but I thought that when we bought Fowler, Leeds somehow were paying part of his wages??

his record for us was nearly 1 goal in 2, for spuds it was pretty similar. in today's market i'd say closer to £20 really, baggage or not.
