Sturridge picks up knock

DANIEL Sturridge is an early injury victim of the Blues' Bavarian pre-season training camp.

The teenage striker - who scored twice for the first team last season and played a major role in the youth team's knockout success - has suffered a knee injury and returned home.

Valeri Bojinov who has been out for nearly a year with a knee injury from last August's Manchester derby has been struggling with a thigh knock but got through two vigorous sessions.

Last season's loaned out players Rolando Bianchi, Bernardo Corradi and Matt Mills are all at the camp but Danny Mills remained behind to continue his rehabilitation after a leg fracture suffered whilst at Derby.

Ironically, fitness coach Mark Bowen and Danny Mills are old acquaintances - the England full-back used to clean Bowen's boots when he was an apprentice at Norwich.

Edit to say, I thought we'd sold Matt Mills????

Imagine how ridiculous it would be if Bojinov doesn't manage to start this season and Eduardo with his bloody horrific double leg break does.

Some place special. A place where there are no chavs, no mobile phone radios, no AIG shirts, no Cardigans music, no bikini tops, an abundance of sky blue as exterior colour, the song 'Blue Moon' tannoyed everywhere at a 'just-heard' volume, where lager flows from every street corner fountain, where global financial crisis has zero impact, where there is a parking spot for every car and scooters are banned, and the only TV is football, UFC and Family Guy and conversation is topical, debate is welcomed and stupid people are made to watch Little Britain while wearing AIG shirts.
