They're mates. He said he went on holiday with Ronaldinho a few weeks ago. They are totally gay for each other.

I know. He could say "just think of it, me, you and Elano, the three musketeers, come on, it'll be great". Or something like that. And Ronaldhino will say "Yeah okay", and he'll come and we'll win the league.

Barcelona have now refused permission for Ronaldinho to go to the Olympics. Mark Hughes needs to show us he can be ruthless and stop Jo from going. Tough on Jo perhaps but he'll get his chances in the World Cup which is way more important. Dunga can hardly hold Jo responsible for Hughes' actions.

I'm happy for the lad to go there. In the long term its good for him as a player and it would be bad for his morale to deny him the chance. If you sign players of the quality that we're hoping Jo is, then you have to be prepared as a squad for them being away on international duty for the odd week or two.

Also, assuming Jo will walk stright into the team when he is here, this gives the other strikers an opportunity to put an early marker down. If the likes of Boj, Benj & maybe Bianchi can grab a a goal or two each in the opening games then we'll have real competition up front when Jo gets back, with nobody certain of a place. That would be nice, I think.

Totally concur, plus it gives him another chance to get a taste of winning something.

Emigre, you're wrong*

I agree. Did no harm for Tevez last time. Probably come back with lung disease though looking at that skyline.

I'm worried about injuries. I wouldn't stop the kid playing World Cup games but the Olympics are not really all that.

Still, I'll enjoy watching him play and hope he'll show everyone how good he is. Assuming Dunga gives him a game and doesn't just take him from us to sit him on the bench.

I've said it on other threads, but I believe the Olympics should be an amateur competition, not for pros.

Bad for us, I heard he will miss the beginning of the season. But he might play in the UEFA games against EB/Streymur. If we wait for his return from the Olympics, then probably he will miss 3 games of the season.

We should have gone for Crouch that way we'd be certain of not losing him to a major international tournament.
