Can someone please tell me what he brings to the table ?

IMO he is over rated,is he a defensive or attacking midfielder.

All he seemed to do tonight was 2 yard backward passes,we had more threat from our defenders flying forward, blackburn were shite in midfield and he should have stamped his mark in the midddle right from the first whistle if he is as good as people say he is.

myself i just can not see it,i watched him all the time tonight and he just seemed to stroll through the game.

i am not having a go at him,i just dont think he contributes much at all.

your comments would be welcome

To me Barry is the one who sits Along De Jong just in front of the defence. He's been a reasonable addition , had a bit of a mad few games a month or 2 ago but i'm quite pleased with him.

Balance, connects our defence and attack and is a very tidy consistent player.

To say Barry brings nothing is ridiculous. An excellent addition to the team IMO

Just go to Guardian Chalkboards dude, tonight for instance you'll see he put in a shift and his 'stats' are pretty damn impressive compared with anyone else on the pitch. Very effective quiet engine.

Shhh.

Hear it?

Thats quality.

scott parker can run all day ,and if you think that 2 yard back passes is very effective you are deluded

Yes.

Look at the board - note a wide selection of passes of vastly varying lengths both forward and back.

Scott Parker is a poor mans De Jong. Barry keeps us "flowing" and nearly always plays the right ball.

I dont think he keeps us flowing, alot of his passes that went to a team mate went backwards or sideways,of the forward ones, most went to Blackburn.

i think he is negative and i just dont rate him at all

But he is a part of a team. A team, incidentally, that has won 5 straight matches. Not everyone can be Tevez you know.

Zaktlee.

Same as Paddy's Ladyoy thread. Messit might be the better forward but Ladyboy is prolly the best all-round modernplayer

Football ain't all 'bout attacking

I must admit i thought tonight he didnt do too much, but over the whole year he has been an integral part of our engine room. He doesnt do the flashy things that tevez does, or the bulldog like tackling that Nige does. But he does his job and lots of subtle things that binds the team together

find a pic you wanna use and then go into your user control panel. its an option on the side. Has to be a certain size though. So just google image search for a small one.
