Another fantastic performance by DJ again last night and IMHO was head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch.

You can have all the flair players in the world, but if you've not got a Pit Bull like De Jong teams will cut you open.

He ran the tempo of the game, didn't give the ball away and won more tackles than I can every remember a City midfielder winning in one game.

Absolutely class performance.

Just read the MEN report and can't believe that Stuart Brennan only gave him a 7!!!

Def a 9 for me, a complete performance and he's getting fitter every game. His performance reminded me of a young Gattuso or Makelele.

I am being serious here, has he given the ball away at all this season? If so I must have missed it.

He makes me smile.:approve:

He's going to be a massive asset to us this season but MH doesn't need to use him in every game especially at home, some games he will have to sit out because of the nature of the team we are playing and I hope he doesn't throw a wobbler and sulk when that happens

No. My list of players who should start EVERY game consists of Given, Toure, Barry and that's about it.

He was fantastic last night. I just wonder where Vincent Kompany will fit into the team with DJ on this type of form?

He was superstar mazi mazin.

I knocked this up to show his pass completion on the Guardian chalk boards thing, it's pretty sexy.

Angrybayor, on the way he's been playing

Fucking hell, he didn't miss a pass? No long balls there, just kept it ticking over

He was my possible fourth. I rated him 'droppable, but only against hull and pompey'.
