In the highlights alone from sunday I saw 3 delish crosses from the right that could be converted on any other day. he also put in some tidy challenges, won a few balls, and showed more pace than I'd have given him credit for. He looks good.

The main arguement that people seem to level against him is that he was torn a new arsehole by Bale when he was at Inter. Hopefully Sunday went some way to putting that to bed. He looks like a handy squad players, but I'd still have Micah or Zabs over him if fit.

Richards is most likely the best CB after Kompany with a top form check. Playing him as RB against quick wingers on a high level becomes risky coz of Silva who tends to leave a alot of free space behind him or drifts often in the middle.

The Manchester City's defender Micah Richards has became the third player from the club to receive a six-month driving ban this month.

The England international was disqualified after he failed to respond to two speeding notices sent to his home address. He admitted to two counts of failing to provide the identity of who was driving his Ferrari that was clocked at 51mph in a 40mph zone in Manchester during September.

Tameside magistrates' court heard the six penalty points took Richards over the 12-point limit as he already had nine points for three separate offences in November 2010, December last year and this January.

Richards, 24, who did not attend, was also ordered to pay a £600 fine, £85 costs and £60 victim surcharge.

The court was told Richards had difficulties with his post at the time the notices were sent out last September and last November because his home in Bowdon, Altrincham, was being renovated and he was staying elsewhere.

Last week Carlos Tevez was disqualified from driving for six months and told to perform 250 hours of community service after he admitted driving while banned and without insurance.

The midfielder Samir Nasri also received a six-month ban after he admitted to three charges of failing to provide police with the identity of the driver of his car that was clocked speeding in 2011.

'Richards, 24,' is it just me or is Micah aging at a slightly slower rate than everyone else. Seems an age since he started playing fort us?!

'The court was told Richards had difficulties with his post at the time the notices were sent out last September and last November because his home in Bowdon, Altrincham, was being renovated and he was staying elsewhere.' About the flimsiest excuse a lawyer can possibly got to trial with.

"Well your Honour, because my client met the girl in a pub, he naturally assumed she was 18. or a reasonably well developed 16 at least. I put it to the court that Mr Edwards has no case to answer."

Only cover for CB and RB at present form...not more. Hopefully doing preseason will help.

Yep, have a lot of love for Richards, but him and Lescott in the middle today were very poor (outshined by Kolarov out left)
