rumours went round that he smacked Tevez in the tunnel.

That rumour was circulated as part of a conspiracy to make me send him love letters.

If he did smack Tevez, he did a shit job of it. Not a mark on him in that post match interview.

EDIT: Apart from the ones that were already there..

Manchester City's Argentinian stalwart Pablo Zabaleta has called for calm over the Carlos Tevez saga.

Tevez has been suspended after his apparent refusal to play against Bayern Munich, but fellow countryman Zabaleta reckons people should try and help the forward.

Zabaleta said: “I know Carlos. Everybody always wants to play, maybe it’s like that,” he said. “It’s a difficult moment for him, but we need to be calm sometimes. It was a difficult game and now everybody is excited.

“We need to turn the page and look forward to the next game against Blackburn.

We need to try to help Carlos. He has been a really important player for us in the last two years – maybe this season he has had more games on the bench.

“Sometimes that is difficult, and more so for strikers, who need to play, need to score, need to feel confidence.”

Sorry Pablo, I think we've given him all the help he needs, 200k + per week's worth of help at least.

We needed his help on Tuesday night in Munich.

Fuck him. I'll help him pack his fucking bags.

pablo is being diplomatic, which you can't really fault him for because it's pablo, and i have a certain respect for someone who won't criticise a team mate in public, even if they are a complete c nt.

It looks like a joint advert for Armani and Apple by a dreamy model.

Manchester City '90 minutes from history' - Pablo Zabaleta

Manchester City's players will become club legends by clinching an historic Premier League title on Sunday, says Argentine defender Pablo Zabaleta.

Leaders City will be crowned English champions for the first time since 1968 if they beat QPR at the Etihad Stadium.

Second-placed Manchester United also have 86 points but would need an unlikely goal swing to better City's superior goal difference of eight.

“"As a team, I think it's going to be without doubt the most important game we've ever played in”

Pablo Zabaleta Manchester City defender

"We're only 90 minutes away from making history," said full-back Zabaleta.

"If we succeed it is probably the start of a new era for this club."

City know they will win their first Premier League title by matching the result of neighbours United, who travel to Sunderland in their final game of the season.

Roberto Mancini's men have clawed their way back into pole position after overturning an eight-point lead held by United in April.

But relegation-threatened QPR, managed by Mancini's predecessor Mark Hughes, know they need at least a draw to guarantee their top-flight status for next season.

"As a team, I think it's going to be without doubt the most important game we've ever played in," Zabalata told Manchester City's official website.

"We want to do it for our fans who I know have been waiting for a long time.

"The only thing I can say is that all the players will do their best against QPR and we will do everything we can to win the title.

"We're very close but nothing is done yet, so we'll see on Sunday."
