Last to first and then got pipped in the last furlong. If he hadn't got bunched in at the back so he had to go all round the outside he might have won that. Had to come from too far back.

I think Bianchi could be a player reborn given the right chance, but with the amount of strikers on the books and Jo as good as on the way I think the money could come in handy.

Budget is everything, just look at what spurs are shelling out at in the last couple of seasons.

I'd rather keep Bianchi than Benjani, Mpenza or Samaras.

Benjani has been veh veh poor, IMO.

I'd get rid of the lot of them.

i have a feeling that if bianchi was to be given another chance, he could do really well. i really liked the look of him when he played, there was a bit of man love definitely.

Very surprised. I just don't think he's been given a player who can supply him with what he wants just yet

He had his chance. He ballsed up when he went back to Italy as well. It looks like he had one great season and thats all he'll ever have.

Depends who we sign and the system we play. I think as one of a front 2 Bianchi could do well.

Conker.

Benjani has suffered like most of our strikers, (Bianchi included), with poor supply. We saw what he can do when given the chance in the first half against Fulham.

he didnt get played and when he did he looked good.

if you were on top of your game, progressing, got signed for big money, scored on your debut and then put on the bench to rot with samaras, mpenza and vass being used ahead of you in a team that had settled on only one up front, you'd get homesick and take the chance to go back toa big team in your home country. i thought he showed signs of class when he played. good in the air, good shot, and could link up and play good through balls as well.

How many goals did he score last season for us and in Italy?

We are still waiting for a replacement for Nic Anelka.

No we're not. We're waiting for someone to come along who actually wants to play for the club, but has the added bonus of being able to defend when we need them to and put the ball in the back of the net at crucial times.
Anelka's a moody little bastard who wants the ball directly to him every time. We want a striker who enjoys the challenge of different balls to him, but has the uncanny ability to finish around 80% of these balls

It's a bit harsh to stick a striker up front on his own, isolated, with next to no support from the midfield, and expect him to carry the team's need for goals by himself. That isn't being given a fair chance by a long shot. He is clearly someone who needs support from the wings and someone running from deep to collect any knockdowns.

The Goat was great because we fed him, Bianchi has not had the service that a striker of his style needs. I think Hughes should bring him back and evaluate him, If he believes there is better, then fair enough, offload him.

A good manager would do this.
If we were to play a 4-4-2, I'd give him a chance in a few pre-season freindlies. If Hughes is happy with what he see's, keep him, if he's still a shower of shite like he was before he left us, get rid.
It's not the fact he was a shower of shit I didn't like anyway, I'm used to that, it comes with following the club, it's the fact he jumped ship as soon as he could
