I wouldnt lose any sleep over him although he does show class at times but far too many poor performances.

The Republic of Ireland international is a £5 million transfer target for Celtic boss Gordon Strachan, who is looking to strengthen his squad in order to build on the successes of three league title wins in succession.

Concurr. Some good performances when he played in the centre of the field and has a good eye for a pass but drifted out of too many games. I can only see him being a squad player if he stays.

Agreed. If we buy any new midfielders then he's the first one to drop to the bench so if we cash in on him that's fine with me.

Good player, obvious natural talent but it's also obvious that he doesn't really like playing football all of the time.

Perhaps with Royston of Sunderland maybe being interested too, the price could go up even a bit. it would be good business IMO.

He has the Demons, Badge. Tricky buggers to shake. You can see it in his eyes. And he has no taste. Can't dress himself and drives a pink car. Demons will do that.

Frustrating player can be best on the pitch one week and unnoticeable on it the next, Sunderland seem to like splashing out daft money and I reckon we could get 8 mill off them

I'd keep him for a couple of seasons yet. See how he develops. There's a cracking player in there somewhere.
