Reported we’re close to signing Rúben Dias from Benfica with Otamendi going the other way. This guy is shit hot, really hope it goes through. Will give us great options at center back, can see us playing all three with Ake to the left and Dias to the right of Laporte and Mendy and Walker bombing forward.

I know nothing of him. I hope he is all that, he will need to be for that money. Crazy money. I was only thinking recently that I am not sure about the Otter. Good enough for the PL, but not for any assault on europe.

It’s silly money but Much better than the £80m Napoli wanted for 29 yr old Koulibaly. I think it’ll be money well spent, especially after yesterday’s showing.

WTTCS. Well it's happened, we have our defender, in actual fact we have 2 x new defenders and a very good existing one in Laporte. Let's bed in that defence quick smart Josep.

Jesus, I'd forgotten that.

What's going on with Laporte though, or is it just Stones being proper good?

The latter, and a couple of injuries. It’s a bit of a worry as Laporte is too good to not play regularly.

Named writer’s player of the year. I’d probably go along with that.
