He has improved for sure, and maybe his second season he will be a lot more settled..

mate, my big worry is, he looks better with martin, than he does alongside vinny...

But we shell a lot of moolah on the lad, we should expect big things from him..

im right on the fence...

Got it in him to be a hell of a player, fo sho.

Most of his flaws seem to be of his own making - fannying about on the ball, committing to stupid/needless challenges in dumb areas, legging it out of position and leaving a huge space, etc etc, so hopefully with a bit of coaching and some strong leadership he can get out of those bad habits. Probably won't, of course.

Did I read we've actually paid €53miilion for him.

He's 24. Starting defender for country. He's gonna be terrific. He's part of the second coming of this generation of City.

Stepped up to the mark with Vinny being out.

As did Demichelis against Hull when Vinny got sent off, that was when we started to see the best of Martin

I hope he will be good.
He has potential but I worry as to whether he can as was said stop doing silly things in bad areas
I wonder if he and many others can't cope with what they do at international level and what they are expected to do week in and week out at domestic level

I was at his debut V Chelsea - he was an absolute fucking monster.

He unfortunately followed that up with a penalty and own goal against Hull. In fairness to him, he did come out in the Press and say that in Portugal there are basically 3-4 big games in the league and the rest you can relax in and admitted that he needs to acclimatise to the Premier League. I liked his interview and he seemed earnest and wanted to correct his mistakes. Next few times I saw him he was a lot more no-nonsense; I think the Hull game really knocked his confidence. But I like him and although I was hopeful both he and Fernando would come good, it's looking likely it might only be he.

Fernando's just another Garcia passenger

Fernando? I'd agree with that. He's been bang on it over the last month.

pair of them tbh, only taken them 9 months (give or take) to start playing to their ability/price tag.
