I think this last World Cup was the final straw.

I do think the players "care" actually. I also think they believe that they are far more talented than they really are and as soon as this is exposed as utter shite they throw a hissy fit and try to make it look as though it must be someone elses fault.

Every tournament since 2004 ish I've gradually cared less and less about international football. Not just England really, all international football.

I think I hate England fans. That's my main problem with the national team - the fans. And the Munich players. Rooney mostly I suppose.

And I hate international breaks.

i think they forget that they are good when they are familiar with the rest of their team, and are fooled into thinking they are good full stop. the england squad are comparative strangers, and tend to play as such, with roles unfilled at national level but occupied by talented foreigners at club level. we do have some good players, but not in every position, and not enough of them.

what happened to the "play the kids" idea that got bandied about after the summer humiliation?

After the FA cup an interviewer was asking how perhaps City are starting to give united a run in Manchester or some shit and Joe replied 'Oh look this isn't about united or Old Trafford whatever, this is about Man City winning with a great team and we plan to bring more.'
