OK, so who has been the best new addition this year? (also, I'm testing to see if I can do a poll). I haven't included Bojinov, as you're only allowed 10 options btw.

I've also made it public, as it seemed a funky new option to try out, and then we can mock each other's opinions.

I can't see what other people have voted for.

Gelson just edged it for me

I'd have to say Corluka, I would have said Petrov, but there was that one game where he was sent off.

Interesting that Elano has no votes. If we'd done this at Christmas he'd have walked it.

Petrov. The man has been the catalyst to probably about 2/3 of our goals this season. Just go back and look at how many chances the guy has created, and if we had someone that could finish in the air Petrov would look even better.

I still think Elano can be a star for us. His form from the first half shows what he's capable of. A full season without injuries in a team playing with more confidence and a superstar up front and we'll see great things from him.

gelson has been fantastic, corluka has faded slightly at the end but 100 commitment, great skill and determination throughout, has to be gelson. and he score a cracker of a goal at newcastle. gelson, hands down. petrov is great but a bit lazy at times and frustrating to watch sometimes, elano has been off his best for a while, starting to get better, thinking caicedo will get better next season as the boy looks like he is fed on children!

interesting question who would win in a fight

caicedo or richards?

We had some great players this season, I think sven picked the right players (as all of us know he didn't that much time to select the players).

Corluka did a great job in his first season, he played in 3 different positions, he started as RB then he moved as CM, after that he played as CB. I think the best position that he played in is RB, even that I think he had some great games as CB.

Elano started the season very good, and what a goal he scored against Newcastle (His first goal in the blue jersey). After he got back from couple of Brazil games he didn't do that much. But I think he is a great player that we need to keep for next season.

Petrov what a big factor this player has been for us, let's say the truth whenever he plays at his best we start to see more support for our strikers. Let's take some example, remember what he did against Newcastle(H), Portsmouth (H). Remember what happen to us when he got a red card against Everton, and got suspended. A great player when plays at his best performance.

Geovanni another great player with experience, he scored 3 goals (what a goal against Man Utd), I think he needed more playing time to provide what is he capable of.

Gelson what a great player in his first season in EPL with a young age too. At first I didn't like the way he plays (When he took Johnson place), Gelson had the time to provide what is he capable of. Probably the best signing beside Petrov.

Benjani came at the right time, at the right place. We needed him so badly. He needed some time to get to sven formation. Not a bad striker at all.

Garrido played well at the beginning of the season, then he didn't get that much time to play (when Ball took the starter spot). Not a bad signing at all.

Castillo a great player with Mexico, but he didn't do nothing for us so far.

Caicedo a great talent, we need to keep him for next season.

In my opinion the best signing for this season is Gelson because he did lots of great work while Johnson is injured, in addition he took Hamann's spot as starter.
