I see the Sevilla president is saying that the price agreed was our initial offer and was a lot higher than he expected. Nice one Txiki

If he is a failure will we crucify Begeristain for buying him?

See we are getting this Brazilian fernandinho. I am a bit suspicious of Brazilian players.

So far it looks similar to last year, signing players we haven't heard of before.

I have a feeling that the "holistic" approach means we will be bringing players up from the youth system rather than buying big names. This will probably work well in a few years time, but until then we are going to struggle a bit.

I hope to be proved wrong.

Not looking forward to hearing commentators trying to outdo each other as the season goes on calling him Hhhhesas Navas. Anyone notice by the end of the year Jonathan Pierce calling David Luiz David Luishhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh? Fuck off you vagina.

Well they (and we best) get used to it, in 5 years time there'll be few homegrown players in the league.

I thought it was the other way round, the past couple of years we seem to have brought in players intheir teens and early twenties. Navas and Fernandinho at 27-28, players who have already done a bit, seems to be a bit of a departure.

That was the wrong phrase to use. I was referring to the disappointing signings of last summer, bar Nastasic.

I am concerned about this supposed "holistic" approach.

He is a slippery little guy, makes Silva look massive.

Quick like hell though!
