No doubt thats his best position thats where he did the damage first half of last season and without a decent target man to play off.
Cant play Johnson and Elano in the centre on their own absolutely no cover he has to play behind a forward or in the centre with a dm enforcer.
I would actually class 4-4-1-1 as two up front really anyway with elano and Jo....no doubt at the moment they are our best front pairing.
Can people stop saying put elano on the right as well. Hes not a right winger, not enough pace or strength and as we saw in the latter stages of last season you loose all his best qualities if hes played out of position. And Ireland is no good their either.
Thats why Vassel has to be sold as well really. For all the effort hes not good enough for a top half of the table side playing up front and the same is true when he plays right midfield. Is he as good as Sturridge and Evans ? I dont think so.
We are meant to have some money to spend, we need to target the sides weak points and stop trying to put square pegs in round holes - that was our undoing last year. We need a proper proven right winger to match petrov on the left and prefereably an experienced quality holding player like alonso in the centre. Decent quality players in those positions would make and enourmous difference to our team.
