Despite his obvious good looks and cornering the market in rechargable condoms, is anyone impressed with this guy? I know he's not had good luck with injuries to start his career with us but I, for one, am not particularly impressed

Was thinking this on Tuesday night. I saw the name on his shirt and I thought 'Fuck me, he's on the pitch?!'.

I suspect he's being given the benefit of the doubt on account of having a cool name.

If he was Cyril Bagshaw from Wigan we'd be booing him off the park by now.

He is also bit of a stud.

I watched him play 2 games while he was at Benfica, it isn't really enough to base a proper opinion on, but I maintain he is a good player. He was very solid, sort of like Nige :romance-heartbeating:. Give him suitable time to get used to a different league and he'll be class. What about the almost assist he had on Tuesday? Very good ball that.

Awesome debut but seems to have gone off the boil a bit. He won a few headers on Tuesday which is something you didn't get with Nige, bless him.

Hopefully not in the current climate...

Nige had a pretty slow start for us as well IIRC. I'm quite confident that Javi will do the business for us before long.

While De Rossi was obviously the preferred target I don't think Garcia was brought in to be a squad player?
