Don't know nuffink about Savic. Hope he's good. If he's not good, I'll be disappointed. I'm hoping for him to be a sleeper hit, maybe becoming a lesser part of the Kompany-Savic partnership. Yeh. Then I hope we win the title. That'd be good.

Pure defender, you're probably right. I think more on potential both ways Micah gets my vote.

Goals wise:
Micah has 9 goals in 186 games, with 6 goals in his last 57 games.
Ned has 4 goals in 125 games with 1 in his 31 games last season.

I'm not a 'lane' in anyway. Just paying hommage to the great history of our beloved football club. Maine Road (the actual road, not the stadium) was previously called Dog Kennel Lane. That's where I got the name from. Just a little different I thought.

I like how despite having the second? (correct me if i'm wrong) best defence in the league we're still looking to improve. Nice to have a manager (club?) who thinks this way and isn't complacent. I'd say our defence is pretty much sorted if we can axe the deadwood. I'm in favour of giving Boateng a second chance (considering injury etc).

No way is Neds a better defender than Micah at the moment. On the one hand you've got a player who's performances last season should've nailed him down a spot in the England team, on the other a player who started OK playing in a crap team and then failed to get regular starts ahead of Bramble and Turner at center back and then Bardsley at right back. You'd start Micah ahead of Neds in any position on the pitch at the moment.

Injury may have robbed him of some of that pace I guess, but yeah - rather keep him than boateng.

Didn't know that about Maine Road. That's interesting.

I wasn't making the point comparatively about goals, just that to cite Micah's goal threat was misleading seeing as he has basically none, and that's fair enough because it's not what he's supposed to be there for. I just don't see much justification for the idea he's going to start scoring them.

I think we'll sell Onuoha either way, and hopefully not regret it. We'll end up buying him back from Everton for twenty mill in two seasons.
