Blues pull out of Swiss tour

20/ 6/2008

MANCHESTER City have withdrawn from the Uhren Cup tournament in Switzerland next month.

The Blues were scheduled to play Lucerne and Basel in Grenchen on July 8 and 10 respectively, but new boss Mark Hughes will take his side on a training camp in Germany instead.

City have announced that they will face Stockport at Edgeley Park on August 2 at 3pm. And they will face Hamburg in Germany on July 26.

Meanwhile, City have appointed Paul Aldridge as chief operating officer. Aldridge left his post as chief executive of Leicester City last week. He was previously managing director at West Ham.

3 games for the pre-season is not enough at all!!

I hope we will add some more games to it, maybe 4 or 5.

They are probably working on a couple more, but never fear, we'll have plenty of chances to see our lads (whoever they may be) in action before the first paycheque of August.
