Kick-offs 1500 BST unless stated

SATURDAY

Man City v Chelsea (1245 BST)

Both of these teams were knocked out of the Carling Cup in midweek, but Chelsea seemed to take it more seriously and picked up a few injuries. I am still surprised City approached that competition the way they did, though, because they need a trophy and their manager Roberto Mancini is under a bit of pressure.

Chelsea have been free-scoring so far this season but a lot of that has been down to the opposition they have faced and I am expecting this game to be extremely tight.

City are at home but they could use a 4-5-1 formation. Mancini is a cautious manager, and his team are playing the best side in the league, so he will probably revert to type and adopt a defensive approach.

Prediction: 1-1

suprisingly optimistic from the plastic paddy this week

Could play a 4-5-1 formation? I don't think we could play 2 up front even if we wanted to could we?!

Because of the players or because of the manager?

Because of the players. And a bit Mancini. Mainly the players - he played Tevez and Ade up front quite a lot last year. Simple fact is if we had 2 players who scored or looked like scoring regularly they'd be playing.

Edit: Maybe not against Chelsea. And leaving Bellamy aside.

Other than that, my theory holds water.

In that case good shout.

I sometimes think Ade's a good shout to stick in for a big game. he likes the big occasion.

Lawro is fucking twunt.

I would like to point out that no matter what score he forecast for City we would all still find fault in it. And you know what? He deserves it the whiny-arsed, scouse-shrine, fuckhead.

This is going to be a clash of the little magicians in the Arsenal midfield - Cesc Fabregas, Samir Nasri and Andrey Arshavin - and Manchester City's powerful players like Yaya Toure, Nigel de Jong and Gareth Barry.

I think City will set themselves up in a similar way to when they played Chelsea, almost as if they are the away team, and they will keep things very tight.

Prediction: 1-1

Arse Bandit!!

Wolves v Man City

You do not want to be caught in the middle of these two midfields - it could be quite tasty.

Wolves did well at Chelsea but could not convert their possession into goals.

City are very competitive at the moment although they may not have forward Carlos Tevez for the clash.

I expect a City win though

Prediction 0-2
