Good to see Boji is playing.

[color="Teal"]Sven names team for Thai All-Star match
16/05/2008 14:40

It’s been a busy time for the City squad during their third day in Bangkok.
This morning the travelling party joined up with Dr Thaksin to open the official ‘ManCityStore’ in the city's Shinawatra Tower III, that was followed by a training session at the Rajamangala Stadium ahead of tomorrow's game against the Thai League All-Stars and tonight the squad will attend a gala dinner held in their city centre hotel.

The day started with the squad greeted by hundreds of fans as they opened the first dedicated official City store, complete with mini museum charting the history of the Club. Supporters also had the chance to take photographs with the players as they signed memorabilia.

Speaking prior to the store opening Dr Shinawatra again outlined his desire to make the Club a global brand and he was very well received by those in attendance.

The afternoon then saw the Blues travel to the Rajamangala Stadium for a training session ahead of tomorrow's 'Super Match' against a Thai League All-Star XI.

Thai players Kiatprawut Saiwaew, Suree Sukha and Teerasil Dangda all trained along with the squad and afterwards Sven-Goran Eriksson confirmed all three should make an appearance tomorrow.

He said: "They will maybe start on the bench, but they will come on during the game because we can change as many players as we want.

"We are going to have a look at them and I think they will improve – they are better than they were six months ago. [Looking ahead] I think the plan so far is that we take them for pre-season and then we’ll see from there."

And of the game itself, Sven added: "I hope it will be a good game and it’s important that we’ve come out here. It’s a long way for us and the plan is to try and play a good game and hopefully the spectators will like it. That’s the most important thing."

The City starting line-up for tomorrow's game is:

Kasper Schmeichel
Shaleum Logan
Ben Mee
Jihai Sun
Javi Garrido
Darius Vassell
Didi Hamann
Martin Petrov
Geovanni
Felipe Caicedo
Valeri Bojinov

mcfc.co.uk will bring you more from the post-season tour of Asia over the weekend - including full details of the Singha Beer sponsored 'Super Match' against the Thai All-Stars.

Good to see Bojinov getting a run out. I quite like the idea of Bojinov and Caicedo upfront. Defense doesn't look the strongest..... No Dunne but he has had a very long season having played nearly every game.

Looking at the pictures it looks like they've done it up since the last time we played there - it was a proper shit-hole then.

Not yet, but soon. I ended up very busy last weekend - a weekend which included a trip to Mr Badger's mountaintop lair. A twisted, sick, imposing place if ever there was one.
