Absolutely concur. To say Dunne has any lack of pace is ridiculous. Yesterday he just didn't look as light on his feet (kind of skill-wise) as the opposition.

I don't think we are being Stepford sticking up for him.

Crap on the ball, crap passing, no pace, severely lacking against better teams.

Some city fans need to wake up and stop being so damn loyal to a player that cannot cut it.

Be serious. He's leading our defence and will be for the foreseeable. I kind of see where you're coming from, but it's not an issue we need to address for a while...

Can't be arsed finding evidence, but I'm fairly certain I said this after Mitjylland at home

oh, and fuck off rag noob, if no one else go there first.

can't be arsed reading through all this so

defensively we were shocking - no communication between Dunne and Hart especially,

we got taught a lesson on Saturday kids

Few points re Saturday.

we weren't that bad, Chelsea played well and were well organised. Anelka is one of the quickest strikers in the Prem, so doesn't mean Dunney is slow, just not as quick as the ELK. The game could have easily been 3-3, it also could have easily been 1-4. City played a defensive formation that didn't give us any width, After the game went to 1-1 Chelsea forced us back too deep and we had an 7 or 8 man defence and no midfield to help push them out.

I'm happy with the performance we put in and if we could have held on to the 1-0 for another 15 minutes it might have unsettled them.

I think we missed the speed and composure of Corluka - not convinced of the new guy yet.

If Chelsea play like that away from home - this will be their season, especially with Manure dropping importnant points already.

I'd have liked to see Elano and Johnson on with 30 minutes to go (didn't see the subs list, pressume they were on it).

I thought Chelsea were outstanding. I am convinced and I said it at the match to my mate that they are twice as good as last season and I think they will take care of the premiership this year. Having said that we battled hard and if it wasnt for poor finishing from Ireland we may have pulled it back. A thoroughly absorbing game and a great advert for the premiership. The best match all weekend.
I dont think we have a great deal to worry about and top 5 is a possibilty.

no its not just you i love the bloke but i think if we really want to get into the top 4 we have to get someone who can play the ball out of the defence and i also think he was at fault for anelkas goal

Couldn't remember much of the match so had to watch Match of the day, at times we passed it superbly and that chance for Ireland in the first half when there was some good passing just shame about the finish. If we can play like that against the other teams i reckon we will be up there fighting possibly for 4th spot.On the Terry sending off, if Jo had gone past him i think Jo was through their on goal, i know they said about Carvalho may have got there but he was off balance and going down, would have surley been a one on one if not for Terry, no doubt though his card will get overturned. I know where only 4 games in but ain't it a tad strange we've yet to have a 3 pm KO on a Saturday yet.

Conker Now they've finally got a decent right back in Boswinga and Deco looks brilliant as usual they should honestly win pretty much everything. I don't think we need much more if anything to break into the top 4 but to be heading it is may require a hitman

sigh
it's been said, dunne is actually one of the faster players at the club. 100m in 10seconds something.
