was in albert square, it stunk of piss, football was shit and couldn't understand a bloody word any of them were saying. Although I saw one guy topple over off a lamp post which made it worth it.

When Rangers got through the council told them not to travel, when it became obvious they would come fans zones were rapidly arranged for fans without tickets, when the screen broke another was arranged and free busses lined up.

The council and people of Manchester mostly welcomed the invasion and the majority put up with the huge inconvenience caused.

Rangers fans responded by rioting, anyone for reinstating the home internationals?

Be a lot cheaper than clearing up the aftermath.

Some pissed up jock was on telly ranting about it being a disgrace and that Manchester wasn't fit to host a final, what did the freeloading tosser want.

some in the media are saying that manchester was happy to take the money for all these fans so cant moan about cleaning up after them. exactly how much money does the city make from a guy travelling down to but an 8 pack of beer and then watching a free screen in a public area, trashing the place.

I think the money they were referring to comes for the traders. That pic of Picadilly is really bad. Absolutely ruined. Hopefully it'll be us doing the ruining next year people!

I would advise trashing Glasgow - but who would notice the difference

Just watched a news conference from Manchester on Sky. The bloke (I'm not sure if he was a copper or a from the local government) said he wasn't bothered by the rubbish - most of it is cleared up already - and praised the majority of fans in the city. He condemned the hoolies. Predictable really. Anyone who says Mancheseter isn't suitable for a European Final is an idiot.

It is clear that large numbers of Rangers fans can't conduct themselves in a decent manner and can't handle losing in a final to a better team and can't handle the Greater Manchester Police.

And this, by their own standards, will shame them the most. They can't handle their beer.

Final is in Turkey and I can't see them putting up with anything like this nonsense.

A lot of shops lost money as they shut early and they had no customers in, the manager of Next said that it had been dead all day as usual trade stayed away.

the only people that would have profited would have been the bars. but they would have been crowded with 50,000 fans coming down. no one wanted 200,000.

Well, at the least all the Rangers boys enjoyed themselves didn't they?

I watched the game on the telly. I think the Ruskies beat Rangers on the totty quality as well.

Yeah, I liked the coverage of the lovely Russian girls jumping up and down, pendulous breasts a-bouncing. Wasn't so keen when the cut to the Rangers fans doing the same thing though. Nought but Moobs there.

Doubt it, the bother was mainly in town due to a big screen that broke down, the coppers say it was a minority of Rangers fans that kicked off.

Sky have just shown cctv images. Fuck all to do with the screen going down, the smelly ginger haired pricks attacked the police 2 FUCKIN' HOURS after the screen went down. It clearly shows around 200 sweats chasing 6 police down the street. Fuckin tough bastards. Fuck off back to smack head land. Wankers
