Vincent Kompany came out of left field. I had never heard of him and didn't know what to expect. But he seems to be the man that we can build our team around, the connection between defence and midfield, and the best buy in a long time.

You obviously don't play enough football manager. Cost me 12 mill, mainstay of my defence for years, and a lovely bloke. I invite him round at christmas

I thought that as well, maybe he upped his game knowing there was more competition with bertie coming in. if he plays like that for the rest of the season then bertie shouldn't get a look in

He was our best defender against Wes Ham and Midgetland too
I've always rated Bally. Now I can come out

One of the commentators pointed out that seven of the players City had on the pitch were aged 22 or younger. If that doesn't give you a ray of optimism, what will?

The next six weeks are a critical time for this season. There are a lot of opportunities being presented. Let's hope we grab a couple.

Formation was spot on today. I was surprised Elano was left out as out best player and leading scorer however having seen the disgusting way the sunderland players kicked 7 bells of shit out our team its fully understandable.

Hughes read the game perfectly. He knew it was a battle that Elano was no equiped for better to save him than get injured / sent off.

I'd love to be as rich as an Astronaut. How rich are they. They sound rich. I bet it's dead rich.

I'd hope we'd spend some of that money on a left back. The best in the world please.

Depends on Petrov's fitness. Think we could see Robinho on the left and Elano behind Jo.

Knee injury innit. Not too serious but enough to keep him out of the Sunderland game. He's got the break now so he should be fit but we don't want to rush him.

Ball can do his defensive bit and not feel too bad about it. You need someone like that in there I reckon.

SUBS :

Schmeichel--Ben Haim--Ireland--Fernandes--Hamann--Sturridge--Johnson

No place for Nedum or any of our injured forwards even on the bench now. Or Evans. SHould try and put some players out on loan think they can still go to the championship ????

Bench Johnson I say, elano is a miles better player....

I think we need someone like Ball there rather than a attacking LB because Petrov does very little tracking back and at least Ball wont be bombing forward and be out of position. I think he can do a good job for us. Although if we want top 4 then it is a position that needs to be funded

Yeah that was my point, still I'd much rather him there than Garrido
