---------------Hart-----------------

Corluka---Ben Haim---Richards----Ball

-------------Kompany----------------

S W P--------Johnson---------Petrov

---------------Elano-----------------

-------------Sturridge ---------------

SUBS :

Schmeichel--Garrido--Ireland--Fernandes--Hamann--Evans--Jô

Dunne back from suspsension so he should start and have some fresh legs. Kompany back in obviously. MEN are saying SWP will start (hardly a surprise) I think Sturridge will start after his last couple of performances - Jo didnt look fit to me in the game yesterday. Nedum is injured again apparently....Rest of the team picks it self....

I thought so. I read it was a 2 match ban but it is 3 for a straight red. Only 2 as it happened last season ?

Quote:
Hughes set for Sunderland encounter

It will be strictly business for Mark Hughes when he pits his wits against ex-teammate Roy Keane at the Stadium of Light this afternoon.

The pair shared great success during their time together at Old Trafford in the 1990s, but since the pair began to face each other across the technical areas, it is Hughes who has the upper hand now having seen Blackburn beat Sunderland twice last season.

Of his old cohort, the boss says: “The connection with clubs that we played for together will always be made whenever we come up against each other, and Roy’s spent about as much money as I have this summer!

“He’s not afraid to make changes to his playing squad if he feels fit. They have had a good start, so it will be a difficult game for us. They have great, passionate support at the Stadium of Light as we do here and it’s never easy to go there.

“Roy’s instilled a good work ethic into them that we will have to overcome. It’s been a great week for us, the good performance against West Ham was carried on with a good result in Denmark.”

The Blues go into today’s game on the back of two wins inside a week, but Hughes thinks they are ready for the game despite the rigours of Thursday’s extra time and penalties in the UEFA Cup.

“It can be difficult having a game on the Thursday and then preparing for a Premier League game on the Sunday, so we’re mindful of that – but I have had experience of that before, so we have the recovery process in place to make sure the players are fit and ready.”

I find it hard to believe that Keane has spent as much as Hughes when you look at the quality of players that were bought .. Big difference IMO between players such as Jo, SWP and Kompany compared to some of their signings such as Healy (although phenonamal (sp?) international record, never recreated at club level), Diouf and Malbranque .. Although i guess he has bought in bulk.

That's what Danny Mills said weeks ago and Petrov was fine. So you are Danny Mills, right?

On the other City Forum, Said he's out for 6 weeks due to a "stramge injury". TBH i ain't heard nowt and i wasn't gonna post anything of it but someone else mentioned it on friday and it's cropped up again today. I'm hoping they're talking BS over there though.

You said it like it was fact, now you're saying it's a rumour from another forum, which basically means it's bollox.

I wish you'd have said that in the first place rather than giving us heart attacks.
