Doncaster away. What a night. Image

I remember that. That was one of those matches to be filed away under "We know City come up with ridiculous situations, as only this club can do, but this was taking the piss"

I remember seeing Pearce shaking his head, don't think he could quite believe it.

I watched it in a pub in Seattle, having taken a day off work to do so. There was some old codger sat at the bar having a right chuckle to himself about it. Felt like bloody lamping him and knocking him right off his stool.

There had been an "incident" on the Woodhead Pass which meant we, and probably several hundred other City fans didn't arrive at the ground until about five minutes into the second half. Bit of a nightmare all round really. I was driving too, which meant I couldn't even get pissed. And the car kept overheating.

Another one of those nights that means if karma really does exist, City are going to be bringing me some major happiness at some point in my life..........

We signed SWP and won a penalty shootout on the same day. I fear that might be as good as it gets.

It's coming, I tell you. And we'll all look back and laugh heartily.

Yes. You almost know that there is something untoward lurking in the near future. It could be Brighton in the Carling Cup, you never know.

I forgot about Brighton.

Would a mancityforum trip to Brighton constitute the epitome of gayness?

I don't think Brighton could handle that much gayness.

The visual imagery I have right now is just wrong. So very very wrong.

I'm going to the Brighton game. Sadly it's one of the closer places to my new residence. Gonna make the trip up for Chelsea, but something tells me I it won't be the homecoming i'm hoping for.
