...for all those that paid and attended that match. I really am. I was with mates at the bar as a sole City supporter and didn't I cop it.

'City are shit', 'We will (west ham) beat them in 2 weeks no probs', 'you've made no signings, what do you expect?'.

The faces on the supporters tonight at COMS was awful.

Of course I have not given up but FFS, 9 out of 11 of the team need 5 across the eyes. Woeful.

Not as bad as leaving maine road after the liverpool match going down all those years ago..now that was heartbreak, this is a wake up call and a setback.

ill still hand over the hard earned to go and lose my voice..

I went. If it continues like it did tonight I won't be going again this season.
Dunne and Ben Haim looked at odds with each other, Caceido is wank. Full stop. Sturridge was excellent, but lacked the ability to pass and finish, Elano started well and then trailed off, Johnson was far too cocky on the ball, Fernandes was almost non-existent. Every time we had an attack, it seemed to be "Get the ball to Petrov", who tried as hard as he could to create something, but Midtjylland knew this would happen, so two men were onto Petrov like flies round shit.
Etuhu brought a much needed burst of pace down the right, but it's very much the same story, nobody was there to feed Bojinov.
Charles was possibly the only bright spark in an absolute hail of shit

I paid to go tonight. Bought the programme. And my team did not reward me.
What does it take to beat opposition like this. A competent left back for a start. And maybe a striker other than sturridge who actually looked alive. No problem with Bojinov and i'm offended he didn't start, but we could have made a statue of caicedo he did so little moving during the 60 minutes he was on.
We have had the shitter end of the luck though. In all fairness the ref had a shocker, Corluka booked for a tug on the shirt then nothing when Petrov gets poleaxed...its a joke!
However, Johnson could have been sent off late on for his "slap in the face"...

After the Milan performance I was shocked at how bad we were tonight. THis will probably annoy people but I think it might be a good thing if we went out of Europe based on that performance. Our squad is tiny and with a few injuries we are sturggling to field a cohesive side. I just cant see how we are going to cope with all the competitions with the players we have available at the moment.

Also on a side note I though the selection was Bizzare tonight. Ben Haim was terrible at left back. Hes a centre half and he showed tonight he cant play at left back for sure. We actually have 2 left backs they might not be ideal but they can defend better and are certainly better going forward than ben haim was tonight.

Also Elano is completely wasted on the right. He only looked good when he moved in field then hughes took him off.

I would like to see Hamman get a start on Sunday as I though Fernandes was rubbish today. Wasnt in the game. With the players we have available we would be better off playing 1 up front at the moment with Elano behind the forward and maybe stick ireland on the right. The forwards we started with tonight will not be enough against villa (or the prem in general)

What flavour? Jam? Bakewell maybe? Why a tart and not a nice pie?

To wake up to this has stunned me, but it's one game, Hughes will have a better idea of what is needed. Granted until we get the strikers back we'll struggle, but I'm confident we will win the second leg.

Watch out Villa!!!

You are all acting as if you are surprised this result happened. Its city after all and it comes with the territory. Life goes on and we will beat em 3-0 at their place and still advance.

I was out yesterday evening, got home and went to bed. Checked the reszlts on teletext this morning. Oh what a shocker. SO now over to Denmark to win by 2 clear goals to progress. I still think it won't be that easy.

Well thats 'Europe' for another season, because we aint going through to the gruop stages now :eek::mad:.

What a fucking shambles.

My team rating for ths atarting 11....

Hart - Fine
Corluka - 7/10 - Average, he 'tried' to attack and was ok at the back
Richards - 5/10 - Was out of position far too often
Dunne - 3/10 - Was shite (and it hurts to say), Didn't lead and fucked up non-stop
Ben-Haim - 4/10 - On that performance, do we still have the receipt?
Petrov - 6/10 - Average, was marked all night
Fernandes - 5/10 - Was he even playing?
Johnson - 5/10 - Again, was he even playing?
Elano - 5/10 - Started 'ok', but went down hill quickly
Caicedo - MINUS 10/10 - Fuck me he is a joke
Sturridge - 5/10 - Went missing for long periods

So there you have it, wank

think that's very harsh on richards and elano. in fact id say richards played well and saved us from what could have been a lot worse. ben haim isnt a left back, put him in the middle instead of dunne cos he was awful. and johnson can fook off if he cant be arsed. caicedo was no worse than the others. sturridge, hart, richards and elano played alright last night imo.

Gotta disagree mate :rolleyes::D.

I really like Dunnie, Richards & Elano, just didn't think they wanted to be there last night and didn't put enough into it (considering people actually gave away some of their hard-earned to be there EVEN THOUGH it was on the box).

I even think Ben-Haim is a good player, just not last night and not at leftback. HOWEVER - Even though it wasn't his favoured position it was no excuse to be passing the ball to some twat in red everytime he had it.

I had thought I would like Elano on the right wing, but my fear (which happened last night), is that he willm get dragged into the centre of the park cos he wants to be where the action is. All good, but leaves us no-one on the right flank.

i thought that was a tactical move to let elano wander more and let corluka move up the right flank? but then he did take off elano. why did the commentator say etuhu has had a great preseason and then say it again and again. has he? when?
