Did anyone go abroad (TNS doesn't count)?
How much was the trip? Are they reasonably priced or just shocking?

The football was shocking last time around. I'm sure the club will arrange trips. Depending where the games are, you may be able to book cheap flights with Ryanair - like I do for our home games.

Just so the population knows, should we draw someone who happens to play in Ireland, I call Slarts. Turkey, I call Shimmers, and Germany, I call Franks.

Would you really want to go to Drogheda?

Too see City away in Europe, I'd go anywhere, just to say I've done it in my lifetime. These opportunities only come round once in a blue moon

The only time City were in Europe in my lifetime was when we last got in through the fair play system!

Last time Lokren was pretty cheap, got a coach to Ostend and stopped there.

Groklen disco biscuits was more expensive and a pain in the arse as we flew to Germany and got the train in from there.

There are usually some weird and wonderful teams in the early rounds so it all depends really, a nice trip to Majorca or Ibiza would suit fine, but us being us we will end up in Kazakhstan or Azerbaijan.

I went to Lokeren and TNS. But you said TNS doesn't count. I wish it didn't, i wish it could be erased from my memory.

Lokeren was about £200 for tickets and flights then you had no choice but to get the coach from the airport...they gave you your ticket when you got off.

My dad passed out on the coach. That was really scary, i thought he was having a heart attack. Don't suppose anybody here was on that coach?

Am I right in thinking we went out to some Polish nobodies!?

I remember they were wearing a green kit, and I've seen better kits on Sunday pub sides....

Hate to deflate people's excitement about a sunny trip south, but for the first two rounds it'll be somewhere in Northern Europe - the qualifying rounds split Europe in three, and we're in the Northern region, which means we play someone from:

Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland, Sweden, or Wales
Map

We can still have a sunnier tie after that though I guess, and I'd rather play someone from the Faroes than nobody at all. It occurs to me that this makes the probable search for a new manager all the more pressing though, as the qualifying rounds are at the end of July and you would hope they would be taken by the new manager.

A rather worrying point there
