We won. We looked good for it too. I never like speaking lowly of City players but I don't know what Jesus brings to our squad. He scores occasionally, does quite a bit of work off the ball but only scores against lower sides a makes a handfull of errors. Is he the striker to succeed Sergio (dear god may we never have to) or be the understudy if he is injured (dear god may this never happen)? I want nothing more than for Gabes to be brilliant, just a few questions. As for Gonedoggin', I have long liked him, he is always hungry for the ball, tireless and while not always perfect he always contributes. A lot of time for him. |

We’ve probably got more chance of winning the CL than the PL this season. Liverpool have already got a 5 point league and if we lose another centre back we might have to get someone’s kid brother to fill in under a registered player’s name. Assuming we get through the group stages, at least in January Laporte with be nearing a return and we might be able to do something in the transfer window. |

I was thinking the same thing but then I reminded myself that we are talking about liverpool here and no one can implode in the league like liverpool. Their own worst enemy. It's not over unless we drop points to the likes of watford. |

Seeing him in action yesterday makes you think anything is possible if he can stay relatively injury free until May. |

I'm not into this bullshit witch hunt for bernardo because of the twitter thing.. What a load of over blown bollocks.. |

Went last night. At times they had 6 players in their 6 yard box and our style does not accommodate that. The referee had little to recommend him and VAR confuses me even more. There were certainly 4 penalties that might have been given in pre VAR times. In the second half Emerson did not touch the ball until the 67th minute. |

Oh it was sweet to handle the uefa darling that is real. Always did like athletico more, we got a good player off the once.. . Lyon, well let's see what happens. It's tough in every match if we're going all the way. I'm just happy to beat real uefa Madrid.. |

Guardian write up mentioned about how Jesus is more of a Guardiola player than Aguero, although the latter has upped his game from just being a deadly striker to being more rounded. Gutted that it looks like he's unlikely to recover in time to play again this season, but reckon everyone else has stepped up nicely and we have a decent chance. |

Come on City let’s show what we’re about tonight! Bayern look terrifying but let’s not worry about that now. Line up is a bit defensive but some real game changers on the bench if needed. Special mention to Cancelo who has been great since the restart. |
