13th Feb, away at theirs.

7th March at ours.

Take that any day I'd say.

I'm never completely sure on the pronunciation.

Think I'm going for an Americanised "bay-sil" :TopHat1

Different pronunciation but be glad those yanks call it the same name though, and not another coriander/cilantro debacle

And what a head fuck that was. Not a patch on the UK v Australia aubergine/egg plant battle mind you.

One of the poorer touring sides I can remember.

Totally unsuited to the Aussie conditions.

That ball from Starc. Not often the batsman can play and miss by a foot and not be at fault.

The home sides are always at an advantage, Aus cannot play reverse swing, which is what we'd get at your place. We are all about pace, and your pitches aren't nearly as quick. And you are right, that was a scorcher from Starc, absolute peach.

Your best players have been your debutants: Malan, Overton, Vincent and not a whimper from Cook and Broad. Anderson and Root have been only okay. Despite regaining the urn it hasn't been great viewing. We were dog shit prior to this series (didn't win a single match of any form in India), I was honestly expecting to lose the series.

Kimbo, I understand your hatred for the foe, as I do your lot, however for me the ONLY sport where I can truly appreciate the opposition players is cricket. I wish hate upon footballers playing against City, but for cricket I try and recognise when there is a genuinely great player in forme. Which Smith is. Not asking you to do as I do, feel free to hate. :)

Unless you can get the ball to move laterally you cannot remove Smith from the crease. That's just something opposing teams have to accept.

It's a shame we didn't make a better fist of it because there are weaknesses in the Aussie batting line up too. All about avoiding another whitewash now.

Mate I absolutely do not hate one single Aussie..I actually quite like the odd one here and there. :shhh:
But it's the ashes and a bit of sledging a bit of banter is a must.

I'm a traditionalist..I love a test match I love the ashes I love the banter.
But man respect has to be given..we have been utterly out played ..
He is still a Aussie git. But its been a joy to watch Smith once he gets dug in. He is unplayable.
A captains innings mate..

I've got the talk sport book on sledging 'why are you so fat' ?.
Because everytime i shag your missus she gives me a biscuit...!

It's the stuff of legend...
