Here we go again.
Will our new improved defence stop the seagulls defeacating on us on our first day of the season?
So much is possible this season, but so much could go wrong and a first day banana skin cannot be discounted. Brighton will be trying hard to prove that they should be in the Premier League and we will not have the walkover we expect.
A seagull manager is one who periodically flies into the area, makes a lot of noise, dumps on the people, maybe eats their lunch, and flies away.

We should crush them Bert 3-4 nil at least.
Our attack should be feared. Vinny looks ok(shush Kimbo you jinxing tosser)
Keeper looks decent and what peppy wanted. New full back with lots of running.
We should steam this lot..

So 4 nil to Brighton.. Typical.. :D

I made a fantasy team this morning. Was difficult to pick any City attackers or midfielders cos I've got no idea who'll play.

Looking forward to seeing plenty of Bernardo Silva this season though, like him a lot. :TopHat1

Ageuro and jesus start, as do all of our centrebacks. I fully expect us to dish out a beasting here.

the HT 'discussion' in bein is super cringe worthy. I feel embarrassed watching it. So many silent moments....

Forced myself to the pub .
Forced myself to mix with the common fat people.
To be honest I was looking forward to a goal fest but by half time I was feeling a bit disappointed. 78% possession and little to show for it. Perked up a bit after half time when Sergio brought order to the proceedings. Most of the game was like attack against defence that you used to play at school.
I was not convinced by Danilo and Walker but to be fair a match against Brighton was not conducive to be evidential to their ability.
Ederson was not called upon to show too many skills and the rest were themselves. Siva 2 seemed adequate when he came on but I am appalled at Silva 1's hair cut. Mind I suppose it will grow out when the weather gets colder..
I suppose we would have had a more honest feel for the season had we been playing one of the so-called top clubs but 3 points is 3 points.

I think there is much to be excited about. We were all over them, Jesus and Sergio were unlucky not to net a few times. Those two are going to bag a shitload this season.

Bastard also has a point, how do you choose the City players for a fantasy footy team between: Silva, Silva, Sane, Aguero, Jesus, Sterling, KDB and when fit, Gonedoggin'. Have a I missed any? Danilo? We could literally score from a good many.

I also love the away kit.

Tis a beauty. We've not been shafted by nike this season. Although lets see what they do for the third kit.
Silva looks like irelandinho, really threw me that did. Encouraging game tbf, should've scored more but utterly dominant, amd our bench will be terrifying this year. Hope we see kun and jesus together a lot this season, seemed to work well, as did playing all the centrebacks together.

First game of the season, take about maybe 5 games to get up to it then we'll start seeing what were all about.

Thought Walker was brilliant, Ederson looked a bit dodgy but like i say early days.

Not every team will put everyone behind the ball ala Brighton, i can see them doing that for most of the season.

We shouldn't need five games to get going if we'd had a proper pre-season

I think most will put men behind the ball against us tbf
