Even if celtic get another and we get beat in this game, I've seen enough to be optimistic for the new season. Just take this performance, intensify it, a bit more composure around the box, match fitness for Bojinov, Jo returns fit and well, Sturidge and Evans get more games and confidence, and we're cooking with gas.

Thought we looked good for most of the match. Dip at the end probably lack of match fitness. More of the same please. :D

For 80 minutes we controlled and ran that game quite easily.

I think everyone has played quite well without any over exertion. The only player who's not really been in the game is Etuhu.

Still young, need more experience

I enjoyed the game. Fair result as they should have had a penalty.

We look OK all over the park but lack a quality finisher. Atkins maybe the man given time.

Good work out though

Good result, best performance under hughes thus far....we are looking fitter and a little sharper.....bring on milan.....
We do have the remnants of a squad but could do with a right midfielder and we'll be in a good position

Much better performance despite a few changes. Once again Petrov by far our best player. Good Boj got another 45 minutes. Vassell missed a few more sitters. Thought Sturridge and Evans linked up well when they came on. Etuhu really needs to go out on loan to sort out his distrubution. On closer inspection he is not ready for the prem, we looked much better when Ireland was on the right.

We desperately need a left back and right winger, I honestly believe a couple of decent players in those position would make a huge difference to our team.

well played city thought we played well most of the game, celtic started to come into it towards the end of the game, but some really good positive stuff, can wait to go to ComS on saturday against AC milan. I couldnt help notive that it went abit tits up when Ireland came on, also i think Kevin needs to cross more balls in. On the other hand Petrov looks in great form, so does gelson and also its nice to bonjinov getting a full half.

Definitely, and at less he can cross the ball.

Not impressed with celtic's goal or the bad defending for the crossbar shot. On the other hand when the little lads upfront realise that it doesn't matter who scores even if they don't , if you see what I mean, then there are good times ahead goalwise.

Yep, Hope Garrido plays against AC so we can so him against decent opposition, If he's good enough defensively then A right winger and we're good to go,

That's the most biased commentry i've ever heard. Both during the game & at half time. It's Celtic's second string, Celtic are having a look at the kids. We passed them off the park & looked miles sharper & played loads of kids ourselves. Kelvin needs to work on his crossing & Vass needs to find the net more but it was a pretty decent show IMO. As someone said, get Jo back & Boj fully match fit there is light at the end of the tunnell. I thought Sturridge & Evans looked ok as did Ned. We still are in real need of a quality left back though.

As good a game Garrido had, he did most of his work going forward, linked well with Petrov. I still worry what will hapen when he has to defend though.
