Really, what would you have expected in the circumstances?

A brace of 2-0 wins, two good solid efforts. Now on to the next round. If a repeat doesn't put you into euphoria, you need to take on another team.

We'll be in Europe, and still have a few holes to fill on the roster.

Repeat performance would be fantastic....cant say its gonna be as easy next time though

Of course, the most significant acheivement of the evening was that I got promoted from "junior member" to "member". What's next?

Well done. It's a proud moment. I'm glad I was here to witness it.

OK, fair enough. Everyone was great, but I didn't like Ball at all; all his crosses were awful (we need to find a new LB). Elano, Petrov, and Vassell were the best IMO. Even that the entire team was great, we improved our fitness; everything is going towards the right direction.

Bloody hell, should have been a pasting there if it wasn't for their keeper and some of the finishing. Hart could have just sat in goal with a pina collada, i can't remember him having one save to make except their effort that hit the post. if Ethuhu can work on his crossing i think we'd have a gem there with Petrov on the left and whoever in the middle. Vassell played well and was well worthy of his goal plus i think Sturridge and Evans can come out of this match with all positives. I just still ain't to sure about the LB position, Ball doesn't fill me with to much confidence when we start off the season. I'd like to see Garrido given another try.

Concurance, Garrido can't be any worse surely, fair enough he's to attacking but Ball is shit end of.

Definitely, Kelvin still young and got the quality of a RM. But he needs to prove his crosses and he'll be a great RM.

evans is very good with his flick ons. i dont think etuhu is ever gonna be the best at crossing, but he sure causes trouble. sturridge was a bit too desperate to make his impression, but he clearly has good technique and skill.

Etuhu was ok, it was just his final ball that wasn't good. But he can work on that. he'll have to work hard though cuz it was pretty terrible. Overhit it every friggin time.

And only two goals.. you can tell Vass was up front.. he played well in terms of effort don't get me wrong.. but we need more than effort in the prem.. get shot and bring in some talent.

Vas was superb from start to finish. He is talent. We'd be mad to sell him. At worst he's a great bench player.
