why did no-one see it coming? come on its typical city aint it......

I knew when it had gone to penalties and the commentary said, michael ball steps up, i thought thats it were foooked....

I think even though its a nice cup to win, id be more happy for us to win the uefa or fa cup......and were still in those, so chins up lads, lets hope for premiership opposition in the fa cup......

I am glad City lost in a way. Following the euphoria of Sunday, it's good to see a few players come back down with a bump. Some should be genuinely worried after a performance like that, as MH is not best pleased and with genuine clout now behind him, some players will be really under the spotlight as to whether they are up to the job.
Anyway, how many times did the Rags claim not to be too bothered about this trophy?

I just laughed when I saw the result, I mean what else can you do? Laugh or cry, they're the choices.

So that's why it wasn't on TV. You were standing in for Ball. I'm surprised nobody at the game noticed.

Hughes seems to have favoured Garrido over ball for premiership games - this could be the nail in Ball's coffin.

There will obviously be players leaving in Jan - other teams will know we have players that will be dropping out of the squad and I'm sure the prem strugglers would love the likes of Ball, Vassell, Benjani, Mills, well, maybe not Mills.

We always say typical City, but the only thing that remains constant is the fans - the players have changed, the managers changed, the owners have changed yet still we are the most unpredictable big club.............that's what makes being a City fan more fun.

Or sulk. Don't forget the sulking. Which I did last night until I was able to chuckle about it today. The worrying thing is, my time to recover from such things is decreasing because I'm so used to it - at this rate I'll actually start to find them funny at the time.

Apparently it's all Walsall's fault we lost. Brighton's manager said they were fired up for the game against us because of them. There we go, nowt to do with Bally after all.

i'm already there... bit wrong to laugh at your own team when you're actually sat in the ground watching them isn't it?

Well, as was pointed out on another thread, this result serves a purpose. Now those recently arrived City supporters have a small taste of what it's like to be one of us.

Welcome to the land of "Typical City". It's kind of comforting to know that we aren't going to be leaving that behind soon.

Sometimes, they give you no other choice.

I had £25 on City, Chelsea, Barcelona and Sevilla. Gutted.......

why does this always happen? But atleast we can concentrate on the league now, althought I was dreaming of taking a bit of league cup minority silverwear this season.

This happened to me last night. I was pissed off, but the idea of beating Portsmouth 6-0 and then losing at Brighton just made me chuckle. Kind of in the way a parent might when they have to tell their child off for saying something they shouldn't, but was actually a bit amusing.
