Post subject:  Pro Evo 11 Vs Fifa 11

Ok, to start off, I'm not after the usual Pro Evo is better (or vice versa) argument. But...

I've downloaded both demo's and I'm really impressed with the new pro evo. In a review I read about it, and Fifa 10ers need to help me out here, it says it has introduced the 360 degree and ping passing. It's transformed the game for me and can understand why Fifa 10 got the plaudits. However, I also read that Fifa 11 dropped the ping passing and having played the demo it does seem to play like the old Pro Evo's.

My question is: if true, what's that about?

That passing has massively improved Pro Evo and so why would Fifa drop it?

I don't actually know ping passing is.

However, having now had a few goes on FIFA 11 the passing is far better than it was on FIFA 10. Successful passing seems to rely far more on you actually weighting the pass correctly which i think is a nice touch.

I think it was a term the reporter used to describe the speed of the passing. You can power up the pass before you receive the ball. Previous Pro Evo's were really shit at that.

You have to be a lot more accurate with your passing on this one, which is much better

Well that's the same as what FIFA have done with the new game then.

I had a quick go on the demo before and it didn't seem to the same extent as Pro, but I have no reference for previous FIFAs.

Download the Pro Evo demo and see what you think, let me know what you make of the differences between the two

played to pro demo and don't like it. I find the fifa gameplay feels more like you are in control of what happens.

I'm finding fifa11 a bit furstrating.

Teammates make really really shit runs.
Getting pretty sick of fuckheads standing offside when I'm crossing it.

Wife bought me FIFA 11 as a suprise, after years of playing PES it's a bit hard getting used to.
Scored a mint goal with Tevez last night though and he did his arse wiggle celebration, which amused me.

Ive always been a PES man, but always download both Demo's to compare them.

Ive played them both and whilst FIFA is better this year than last year, its still let down by the quality or lack of wing play/crossing and the shooting just doesnt feel right to me.

Maybe im too used to PES, but this years demo is fantastic and the passing, whilst having to re learn 10 years or so of how the game plays, is just brilliant.

My copy of PES should arive shortly and I will let you know how the full game is, but if its like the demo, i will be very happy and looking forward to Become a legend!
