save up.
no console does RTS games properly, and the multiplayer games are superficial. does sport games better and gta stuff, but that's because they were built for joypads.

It depends what you're after. For playability, the 360 is far better. More games out, the console is cheaper, the games are better, and I just generally prefer it. However. The PS3 does have the Bluray option, and is currently (despite being a games console) the best Bluray player on the market. Depends what you want IMO. If you want a console purely for gaming, on and offline with a huge online community, great Arcade game and great features such as Facebook, Twitter and Sky TV on demand then I'd say 360. The only reason I'd say get a PS3 is if you want a Blu-ray player. In terms of gaming the 360 is the superior machine. |

sure the ps3's internet browser has that too and skys irrelivent seeing its already available on the tv. i'm steering more towards the 360 for its titles but they can be played on pc too. on the other hand the ps3's got MGS4 i've heard nothing but good things |

Halo 1 through 3ODST all pwn MGS I'm afraid. I've never liked that series of games. I think Forza pwns Gran Turismo too. |

as much as i love halo i cannot say it pwns the mgs series though it has alot more replay value. that being said i still have to play 3odst and mgs4 (which i have for some reason i dont know why) but agree that forza>gt |

Another thing to think about is that playing online is free with a ps3 but you have to pay for the 360 (although I don't have one so cannot say how much) - there is the argument that you get what you pay for. As previously mentioned, the ps3 has bluray playback (which I have to say is quite startling if you have a HDTV) so worth factoring in. Also, if you are relying on a wireless internet connection then you will need to cough for the 360 hardware but the ps3 is wireless out of the box, I am pretty sure both have the facility for wired connectivity. Edit: Given the thread title, I should mention that I am currently playing Drake's Fortune (the first one) and Katamari - both good. |

here the xbox 360 elite and the ps3 slim are the same price think i will go for the ps3 for mgs4. the xbox seems to attract fanboys. |

Most of my mates have got 360's, and they are always moaning about failures, or having to pay for this that and the other. Just off the top of my head, I can think of 7 mates who have broken consoles, yet my mates and I who own PS3s, haven't had any problems at all, and I love my PS3. I actually had an Xbox 360 myself, and it was good, and didn't brake, but the PS3 is far better IMO. |
