Result mate. The 1gig version is supposed to be better. More efficient.

Ga that must be the titan..seen a rig running 2..for around 6 grand.

For that I want a hand that pops out and tosses me of too..

For that sort of money, keep your comp and bung your wife the 6grand to get under the table and do it for you.

She may even treat you to something with the 6 grand. Result.

Resolution

Two resolutions are defined as UHDTV:[1][2][3]

4K UHDTV (2160p) has a resolution of 3840 × 2160 (8.3 megapixels), 4 times the pixels of 1920 × 1080 (2.1 megapixels).
8K UHDTV (4320p) has a resolution of 7680 × 4320 (33.2 megapixels), 16 times the pixels of current 1080p HDTV, which brings it closer to the detail level of 15/70mm IMAX.[2][9][10] NHK advocates the 8K UHDTV format with 22.2 surround sound as Super Hi-Vision.

The p in 2160p and 4320p stand for progressive scan or non-interlaced.

SLI titans? Ffs that's just showing off. Shouldn't cost 6 grand though, unless the extra is for the power supply. Seen a water cooled set up for about £2700 with a titan and 16gb ram etc etc. but 6k seems to be a hefty premium. Triple 50" screens included?

*wants*

Mine's fucking ancient, got it in 2007, core2duo at 3.2ghz, 6 gb ram and with a 1gb gtx 280 replacing the older 8800 a couple years ago it still runs fc3 fairly well. Using a 23" 4:3 ratio crt at 1600×1200 rather than an lcd.

I just got selfish and have a bit of cash at the moment (not a lot - mine's a solid midrange erring on budget build. Lots of second hand parts).

Mine operates at 720 no sweat, can play higher but games like Metro: Last Light bum out. Was considering an i7 but from what I can tell, only really worth it if you're doing high intensive shit like video rendering. So thought I'd upgrade GPU to be able to play at 1080. Played Metro for a couple of mins at 1080 and was like "Woooaahh..."

Your GPU is better than the one I'm currently running (6770)

That was pretty much the case with me, hence a puter that can still run the latest games. The gpu is about 2-3 years old, the 8800 was replaced under the extended warranty i took out. Best 120quid i've spent.

Nice, my dad's just bought some hyper blu RAM for my old rig. I can't comment on the performance yet (he bought 2x2gb) but they're so lovely to look at. Was rebuilding my old comp with bought parts for him before. That RAM is lovely.

I forgot my other stuff

Generic 300GB HDD

This controller (I've had years of console playing):

And my general mouse is this (love it):

We tried to have Sky installed when we moved back home. There's fucking trees (protected) in the way so even though we wanted legitimate sky, we can't actually have it.

I use my sisters SkyGo login and there's always the option of streaming if that fails (using a VPN would help avoid the throttling from ISP's after 6pm). Just bought this PVR actually (the missus misses Neighbours since we haven't had Sky+).

Still considered to be one of the best, got it on ebay for £93

Oh, and the Marble Mouse is awesome. I sit with it on the arm of my settee (my monitor is on a 3ft cantilever arm I pull round whilst I'm sat down). Keep toying with idea of getting a Marble for work

it's stunningly good looking and plays really well. Nice blend of horror elements in there. I really like it but some of the later levels bugged me a bit, purely cos it's dark as shit, my gas mask is on a timer and I've no idea where to go. Have to confess to using a walkthrough a couple of times.

That's not a criticism of the game, just that I'm not a fan of levels like that. Love that you can stealth most of the way through it and get lovely headshots.

Playing this at the moment (after completing Gunpoint - which I heartily recommend, loved that game):

This is just pure fun. Good natured and really fucking addictive. I've whiled away 3 hours on this without realising I'd done so.

Back to Tomb Raider when Last Light is clocked. Lost my save when I installed my SSD (it doesn't recognise the backup). No biggie

This is a good read:

http://www.geek.com/games/10-reasons-why-ps4-already-has-xbox-one-beat-1558476/

Although multiplayer online will now require you to own a playstation plus account (£££)

Got to say though, I'm gonna stick with my PC. I'm running the same graphics card as the PS4 has (7850) and have 8GB of RAM (going to upgrade to 1600Mhz this month). Although the PS4 massively appeals, I could spend that money on further improving the PC (7850 in crossfire or maybe a 7950/70), PC games are cheaper (or free if you were into pirating), Steam always have sales on etc.

So much more sense to stick to PC gaming.

We could be playing at 2560x1440 at 60FPS for the money of a PS4
