I remember when the c word was used all the time on here. And I was also here the day first esm, then labmonkey(i think) said they didn't like it and wanted people to stop. Then a few more agreed. Then Bluemoon too. And so it became. That is my memory of it. I dont remember much but I remember that clearly.

As I remember it a sticky thing appeared, handed down from BM to the Mods.

But was that before of after the thread I'm thinking of happened?

I'd love to be able to find that thread again now.

Various people said they weren't keen on the use of the word, but it didn't become a rule until BM said that he didn't want it to be allowed.

Again, unlikely.

But that was kind of my point. I'm sorry if I named you unfairly or wrongly. To be honest I cant remember who the people were. But I do remember the thread. And it just seems like that now any time the banning of the c word comes up people shift the focus onto bluemoon like it's all his doing. When actually I think all he was doing was agreeing to a rule that was wanted by the forum. Or at least select few with influential voices on the forum.

I remeber when you could just cut and paste a pic into a thread rather than having to try to find it on the web and then post it's location. I WANT CUT AND PASTE BACK!

Morning/afternoon/evening all

I'm not sure what time of day it is anymore. Life has changed!

Anyway Paddy was correct with the terms, they can be seen here (you need to be logged out to see them):
http://www.mancityforum.com/forums/register.php

They are very generic but basically be nice and your posts don't get removed by mods.

The c-word was banned as much as possible just because one day the board was full of it, pretty much every post. I know people that come on here at my request and didn't really want to be associated with that too much.

I understand this is a football forum so a lot is let through but at one stage it just got a little silly with the swearing being the main parts of the posts.

Cheers all

Emigre is already crying. He won't be able to post today as his keyboard is awash with the salty tears of second place....

Mind you don't get the aforementioned salty tears into the also previously mentioned keyboard....

I mistyped then and wrote "keyboat" - I like this. It's a keyboard you can actually cry onto and it'll still work. I'll send one to you, Emigre and Bassman for testing.
