was just a thought that was all it was when we played in uefa cup there was a lot of ppl on line and a chat room on match days would stop the need to keep refreshing the page . i am not talking of altering the way the forum works

Just a guess... I'd say in a chat room the posts scroll and once they've gone off the screen that's it, it's gone. Forum, you can read the posts for ever.

Also I think there are no threads it's just an open posting thing so more random chat really.

There was a chat room on Forum V3 but that version never saw the light of day other than to a select few. :D (well the mods and bluemoon tbh)

then you will have to remain so as we never used it as far as I can remember.
That version of V3 was quite clunky tbh and that's why bluemoon went for this one instead.

I have added a chatbox for anyone that wants to use it. It can be found from the site navigation from the front page or by clicking the following link:

I realise there is a split in the camp but should you just want to use the forums and hate the idea then ignore the link ;)

I will remove it in a week or so if it doesn't get used.
