South East Citizen wrote: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDby3k1uTeg Old school classic! Old school trance was so cool! My personal preference from those times: Fire & Ice - Forever Young: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmnkVWuOlFk&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&hd=1 I just noticed that one of the top comments is mine. Eurodance was also so great! Culture Beat rules. Nowadays you go to a club and all you get is cheesy dance music and ugly remixes of famous commercial tracks (already ugly in their original form). |

He has done some absolute groundbreaking innovation over the years, and i consider above and beyond the regular musician or composer.. also he and a guy called jeff mills, have worked with orchestra's and performed their techno tracks on a grand stage like that... you may like this then too... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2e9c1ekcB8&feature=related&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&hd=1 from his landcrusing lp.. ill see if its still uploaded in my rs account for ya.. Oh and i have lots of his 12"s and one called the 'shop' ep..i was offered a ton for it in the late 90's... his trademark is the strings that just run through the tune, and he just pitches them up and down, theres a real beauty to what he does.. but as im sure you can tell..im quite biased.. this a cc lp with tracks he made under some of his alternate names like '69' and innerzone orchestra and paperclip people. https://rapidshare.com/files/230361067/ ... ault06.rar |

I picture him, shades on driving around the M60 with the manchester sun setting.... Ha! I remember that text. Happy fucking days. [I was actually driving round the M60 a few years ago on a beautiful summer's evening whilst the sun was setting with this blasting out. Coming over Barton viaduct was like an epiphany and I had to share the moment. kimbo was the lucky recipient of a garbled text message typed from the drivers seat of a Ford Mondeo doing a ton past Salford.] |

And if we're on the subject of epiphanies, Underground Resistance and 90s techno it would rude not to include this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKDS041Tv5o&noredirect=1&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&hd=1 I first heard this at about 5am at Glastonbury in 98/99ish. I've never before or since seen a reaction like it from a crowd. Every fucker was properly spazzing out. Keanu Reeves was there wearing some sort of Moroccan kaftan , which was a bit odd. |
