Last time I saw him live was in the Point Dublin. It was a tribute show for Phil Lynott the day after his statue was unveiled. He played a set of mostly Thin Lizzy songs along with a few solo songs. Brian Downey was on drums, and they were joined by Scott Gorham, Robbo and Eric Bell during the show. Darren Wharton had played earlier in the evening.

It gets shown on sky arts from time to time.

He was a genius too, a phrase thrown around way too often but he was that. When it appeared his career was over, long after Thin Lizzy, the fucker turns around and drops a solo album that didn't have a bad song on there, and I mean that, every song was a winner and from memory at least of which were top 20...not bad for basically a guitar album. 'Still got the blues'.
