Why hadn't you heard of Snow Patrol? Why weren't you at the Leeds/V/ Reading etc etc Festivals?

This is one place where you can pick up on at least 10 new bands over a weekend.

Get fucked Bassman, you cripple c*nt. We've established over and over again that you *weren't into "shoegaze an that" when it was first around - you got into it after wetting yourself over the lame modern rip off bands like Pains of Being Pure at Heart. Same as you got into all the other indie bands ages after they became commercial. Give this bullshit a rest - you lost this argument many years ago.

Oh, btw, shit thread. The correct thread is "Top 5 Albums of 2010". Squidge will do it when the time is right and it will shite all over this nonsense.

Rated accordingly.

* Er, yes i was. Those were the first proper bands i started to get into 89/90/91 after listening to the usual pop stuff when i was a kid.

Anyway stupido, i wasn't actually referring to those bands. In this instance, i'm referring to the folk/psych/prog stuff that i used to listen to back in 92/93 etc, that i sadly neglected for a lot of the 2000's,:o but i have since re-found, and then some. In the last 2/3 years i have got back right into the groove in a massive way.

I don't know, i guess they'd just passed me by. However, there was a period during about 98 to early 2000's that i didn't listen to as much music, i had other stuff like the band i was in, and a lot of money went on gear and that instead of new music - so i wasn't as clued up on stuff during that period.

Never mind that - what about going into one of the porta-loos and having thousands of people's shit to wank over?!! He only doesn't go because he knows he'd die of masturbation-induced dehydration within an hour.

HBHB why do you come on here when you get so much abuse? You're pretty perverse. I'm not really into laying into you (more than anyone else) I'm just into straight ahead WUMing. It's like bullying the way it's usually you arguing with 5 people. You probably deserve it, I don't know, but why do you keep coming back? I'd be long gone. Is it the high post count? It is quite an investment.

Surely the amount of negativity directed at you might give you a cancer or something.

I love it, the more shit that gets thrown at me, the stronger i become.:approve:

The way i look at it is this, i've as much right to come on here, or any internet forum as much as yourself, or anyone. Ok, so some of my views are different to others, but so what, is that wrong? Should i not be allowed to say what i think in case it offends someone? Thats the way i look at it. i realise that there are some on here that would like me to fuck off for good, but why should i do that, give them an easy life...not on your auntie Nelly.

"challenging" music?

what?

music should be good to listen to, something that you like, not "challenging".

pretentious fool.

Yeah, challenging. Why not? It expands your musical vocabulary, instead of the usual stuff, that just sounds very pleasing on first listen. Listening to stuff that's very good at first, I've found over time, i tend to get bored of after a while, eg Stereophonics, Snow Patrol etc, etc.

that's total testicles. in fact it's such testicles that it has developed into some weird ovary/bollock hybrid that is capable of self-fertilisation.

the stuff you give as examples just lacks depth or re-listen value. or is shite. it is not un-"challenging".

Don't like any of them now, i'll be honest.

Cardies are a nice indie pop band, what's wrong with that?

Muse, i like some of the stuff, but not all.

Editors are ok. Prefer earlier stuff though.

Razorlight, that was a mistake of the highest proportions, i have to admit.:o
