Bassy's failing at being a bassist is clear - he has no appreciation of a groove. This may also be why he can't dance. And why he can't pull hot chicks. And why he dribbles when he eats. And why he sometimes had to wear a nappy at primary school. And why his mouth moves when he reads. And why people just think there's something wrong with him.

What are you carpin' on about, you numpty.

Bassy, if you spent more time listening to Primus and Rush and less time icing logs you wouldn't be such a miserable failure as a bass player.

I havent heard that before, really cool, in fact I have not heard much Rush but I know they are the ducks littluns and folk are mad for 'em.

Best bassist? I don't know. I think he may be. I had a gap in my 'dream band' and it was who would fill the role of bass player, it might as well be Geddy Lee.

Danny's Dream Band;

James Hetfield (rhythm geetar and vocals if he was 10 years younger)
Dave Mustaine (rhythm geetar)
Chris Adler (drums, here)
Bass....maybe Geddy.

Too many option for lead guitarist. Cant be bothered even trying to think who for that role.

Now just add,

Freddie Mercury (vocals)
Ronald Jenkees (keyboards)
Ted Nugent (lead guitar)

And I think your on to something...

Oh and if Geddy doesn't want to know, then maybe Bassman :D

I have an image of them in monster white flares, can't remember where it is from though - thought it was an album cover but a turbo search didn't throw it up.

On the back cover of 2112 they sport nice white flares (see previous page) and on the inside sleeve of All the World's a Stage live album from 1976 the combo of white flares, platform clogs and kimonos is a real winner.

The 80s look was also a highpoint.

I never realised Slart was in the band. Is that him on the right?

Ahhh, just got the red x for that one image, don't remember the kimonos so didn't compute. If I remember correctly the stance of guitarist/bassist shows off the kecks/clogs combo beautifully.

Rush are playing in Dublin this Thursday! Can't wait!

I bumped into an old schoolfriend last Friday and we were hyperventilating at the thought of seeing our heroes.

Watched this film last night in preparation.

Well that was amazing, on a par with city winning the FA cup...They are masters on there given instruments, the lighting system was astonishing. It was the best concert I have ever witnessed (yes better than QUEEN) and although its hard to pick the highlight of the night I would have to say 2112 Overture/The Temples of Syrinx just pipped it... :approve:
