I don't understand why Bassy's name-dropping Husker Du and Loop. They weren't shoegaze. :confused:

I reckon Bassy learned about Ride from NME when Andy Bell joined Oasis. His descriptions sound awfully like Wikipedia entries.

No, it was one of the reasons for the bands demise. I wanted to go down that route but the others wanted to carry on peddling middle of the road Oasis lite shite. Musical differences came into play for sure.

How the mighty have fallen. You go from being in Ride, then stumble through Hurricane#1, then you end up scraping the bottom of the barrel in Oasis.

Last time I saw Andy Bell he was playing in front of 80,000 adoring people at Slane, one of the best concert venues in the world. I bet he has a few million in the bank as well. He looked happy to me.

If Oasis reformed and Noel gave you a call to join on bass (on the strength of hearing Dead Again on the 5L(L) myspace page) at £50K a week, would you join?

i wasn't fired. I'd had enough so i quit. I decided i'd had enough when one of the band said they thought Glasvegas were a bunch of miserable Scottish twats - which upset me, i can tell you. So i decided enough was enough.

So, you left the best band you had ever been in because one bloke didn't agree with you about one band?

No, because i think they're shit.

I've got my own experimental musical krautrock venture now.

You stated that reggae is the coolest music and shoegaze is the second cooleest. Why are you playing what is at best, according to you, the third coolest type of music?

And when can we hear some of this experimental krautrock?

Husker Du weren't. Husker Du were mentioned by someone else. No idea what metalgaze is. If it's got owt to do with metal then i can certainly do without that shit.
