Was surfing around tonight and came across this.
http://www.rollingstone.com/news/coverstory/500songs/page/1Does anyone think that this is a realistic representation of the past 50 years of music? I can't see a song from the past 10 years in the Top 150, I think Eminem at 166 is the most recent. Are things that bad?
Any list that comes from rolling stone is utter crap.
Take for example the 100 greatest guitarists; The Edge of U2-#24 Kurt Cobain of Nirvana-#12 whilst Randy Rhoads(ozzy ozbournes original guitarist) comes in at 85 and David Gilmour of Pink Floyd comes in at 82, ie. they say playing power chords is harder than ripping a solo.
They choose popular crap over everything, i think they use a monkey, errr Thaskin, to randomly pick songs.
