Bizarrely I find Jeff Wayne's War Of The Worlds quite Christmassy.

On the last day before Christmas we commandeer the PCs at work and play networked games and play a bit of music. One ex-member of the group always comes back for this, and one year the only CD we had was a copy of war of the worlds he'd bought along. After having a singalong while playing on the PCs we now have war of the worlds every year as a Christmas tradition.

I've just been for dinner down at Barton Grange garden centre, near my office. The commercial director was up and we went for turkey and all the trimmings. There was a "Pan Pipes Christmas" album on and it's the first time this year I've felt slightly festive.

God bless us all, every last one! :)

Ah yes, they've got their fingers in many pies. Some of them duck. They've got a hotel just down the road too, where half our client's staff stay, and a landscaping business, and poultry etc.

Garden centres are a great place to have christmas dinner. Couldn't move for false teeth being dislodged. there was a funny incident on the table next to me where there was a woman in a wheelchair who couldn't speak properly, and another member of her party tried to move her wheelchair, but the handbrake must have been on or something. cue much hilarity! I damn near choked on my sprouts. :p
