What a difference between the 2 albums. The first is as not only an amazing debut but well measured and tunefull top to bottom. 9/10. And then there's the follow up. Where is it coming from? What is it trying to do? I have tried in vain to love it. I don't. I have stopped trying.

I think it's a better album. The first album is brilliant and i love it, but i think it gets a bit samey about 7 songs in. A quality debut though. The second album though...well every song is brilliant, some of he lyrics are really superb and i just think it's a more well rounded album. Special mention for "Escape the Nest" - one of my favourite songs of recent times. Also, have seen them twice, they're one of the best live bands i've ever had the pleasure of seeing. Tom Smith is a very intense performer and is clearly really into what he's doing. If you ever get the chance to see then Danny, do. The second album songs are particularly good live

Cracking debut, sadly suffered the difficult second album syndrome.
