Since I gave Frightened Rabbit to squidge, who passed it onwards to others, and now he has sent me the wonderful work of bright eyes, I thought a thread recommending new band's or less-known bands would be good.

I suggest lowly knights, frightened rabbit and wood pigeon.

Gonna go and buy the new Editors album in a bit. While i am there i may also pick up the Girls album.

Gonna do some youtube-ing now to see what they're like.

Been waiting for this new Editors one for a while. Hope it's as good as their previous stuff.

I can strongly recommend no one at the moment, because Ian Brown's new album is currently eclipsing everything I listen to.

Editors has had some pretty poor-average reviews. I hope it's good. They're one of my favourite live bands and i see them again on Friday...if their new stuff isn't up to much then i'll be gutted.

And the new Ian Brown is good then?

I have to say i've not even been slightly tempted. I know everybody says it's weally weally good but i've never been into his solo stuff really.

Will probably buy it when it's in the 2 for £10 at HMV.

all that emo shit is exactly that...shit. It's boring, cliched, and has no interest to anyone with any kind of idea of music. It is designed for a certain aged 'young emotional teens'. To everyone else it's shite.

Such a step up from The World Is Yours. Absolutely superb mate. Download it first and have a listen. Best album I've listened to this year.

You could say the same of a song of a song called "Come Into My Mouth" by some kind of comedy band though, couldn't you?

That will be my last comment on the subject :)
